Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to promote our activities to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall. 

We do not undertake any financial transaction services on our website.

Where you have provided us with your contact information we may contact you to send updates about our activities, or as otherwise necessary to contact you to enforce our User Agreement, applicable national laws, and any agreement we may have with you. Liss Archaeology does not use cookies or tracking tools on this website.

However, Wix as the hosts of this website use two types of cookie:

  1. Session (transient) cookies: These cookies are erased when site visitors close their browsers and are not used to collect information from their computers. They typically store information in the form of a session identification that does not personally identify the user.
     

  2. Persistent (permanent or stored) cookies: These cookies are stored on a site visitor's hard drive until they expire (at a set expiration date) or until they are deleted. Any personal information you may provide via this website or send to us by email is accessible only to the Petersfield Big Dig project manager and to a small number of members of our management committee, namely our Chairman, Vice-Chair, Archaeology Director, Secretary, Treasurer and Membership Secretary.

Such data is held behind a firewall on a secure server with strong password protection.
